Wells Carnival – General Stall Enquiry – (crafts, jewellery, charities etc.)

Wells Carnival 2019 – Friday 26th July to Sunday 4th August inclusive.

Thank you for your interest in having a general stall (crafts, jewellery, charities etc etc) at Wells Carnival. Please read thoroughly the information below before completing the enquiry form.

Enquiries are invited from all stallholders, but we are particularly keen to encourage applications from regionally based crafts people/businesses plus those that use local produce and use sustainable products & packaging.  We have many applications each year and try to opt for stalls that will offer a varied range of products and prices for our visitors.

Therefore, please fill out the form below with as much information as possible and we will advise you, in due course, whether your application has been successful. Details on payment etc will be sent at this time.

SPACE REQUIRED

Pitches are priced at a minimum of 3m width x 4.5m trading depth (tables, chairs, ‘A’frames, towbars etc to be contained within this area). For larger pitch sizes please include information on the booking form below and we will be in touch. (Additional space is charged per metre).
A limited number of stalls are offered free of charge to Wells-next-the-Sea based charitable groups and a 50% reduction to national charities.  NB A General Enquiry form must still be completed (see below).  These are accepted at the discretion of the Wells Carnival Committee.  We may request a refundable deposit to ensure attendance on the day.

Please note: Stallholders will need to set up and supply everything they need for themselves and will be expected to take all their rubbish away with them.  We endeavour to provide designated parking for stallholders at our events but be aware at particularly busy periods we are unable to guarantee parking in close proximity of your stall. We ask that stallholders complete their set up at least 30 minutes before the start of the event.

Please note that stalls are ALL sited outdoors – there is no indoor space -therefore stallholders will need to provide their own shelter and tables etc.  As we are based on the coast we can experience strong winds so advise all stallholders to ensure their shelters are of sturdy construction and must be weighted down.  Space is at a premium at all of our events and therefore it is imperative that Stallholders remove their stalls at the end of the individual events unless they have prior permission from the stall bookings manager to remain on site.

ELECTRICITY SUPPLY**

For an additional fee of £5 we can offer electricity to a small limited number of outdoor pitches – please include full details of requirements on the enquiry form. Electricity must be requested and booked in advance.  This should be used for tills, credit card terminals, computers, mobile chargers and stall lighting ONLY.  However, it may be possible to provide refrigeration  Full details should be completed on the form and the stall co-ordinator will confirm if possible to meet your requirements   No heaters, kettles, oversized lights etc may be used.  Stallholders should provide their own PAT tested extension cables.

Stalls for Wells Carnival events will be confirmed within approx 2/3 weeks of the initial enquiry being made. If you haven’t heard from us within this time please email: stalls-wellscarnival@live.co.uk


You may be aware that Wells Carnival is organised by a team of volunteers.  The activities/events are either free of charge or to cover costs.  The committee rely on sponsorship/donations from individuals & businesses and run regular raffles to raise funds to cover the costs involved.  Any stallholder who donates a prize for the raffle (value of £5.00 or above) or makes an additional donation of £5.00 or above will have their stall name and website/email automatically added to our website for the coming year.  Raffle prizes will be collected by a member of the Carnival Committee or can be handed to the Carnival Merchandise stall on the day of the event.  Due to time constraints we would appreciate no vouchers unless they can be redeemed online.
