The Carnival Committee is busy adding the final touches to this year's Carnival. We have met many times over the year, discussing what went well and what we could improve, what events we should keep and what new events we should introduce. This is also an opportunity to say a big thank you to our sponsors, many of whom are small local businesses. Recently, like many others, they may have had a hard time financially but they never fail us! Without their sponsorship it would be impossible to provide the exciting Carnival events for which Wells is famous. We also benefit from a number of individual sponsors who prefer to remain anonymous. Thank you all!
We encourage those who enjoy any of the carnival events, many of which are free, to drop a donation into our collecting buckets. This money goes towards making up the difference from the sponsorship received to the actual costs of the Carnival, including all those things: storage, gazebos, tables, first-aid equipment, fire extinguishers, bin bags and so on.
At our AGM we always make donations to local charities, some of which help us to make the week the success it is. With your donations we are able to continue the Wells Carnival tradition - a fabulous, fun-filled week!
We are grateful to those people who come forward to offer their help as there is always a lot to do and as most of our committee have other commitments the extra help is much appreciated.

•Two quizzes taking place in the Maltings for all you quiz lovers, (one being organised by one of our many supporters who returns to the town year after year.)

•The Sandcastle competition
•Children's outdoor disco
•History walks
and much, much more.
